Trail Information

The Great Gulf Link Trail is only a mile in Length and terminates at the Great Gulf Trail. These two trails are through a mixed forest typical of what is found throughout the White Mountain National Forest’s lower elevations. If you continue past the one mile point onto Great Gulf Trail, only 1.8 miles long, you’ll reach Osgood Trail. The Osgood Trail ascends the ridges of Mt. Madison.

You can combine the Great Gulf Link, Great Gulf, Osgood and Daniel Webster-Scout trails into a 9.5 mile loop. The Daniel Webster-Scout Trail descends east to Dolly Copp Campground Road, just a short distance to the north of the Great Gulf Link Trailhead.

A side trip from Osgood Junction to the summit of Mount Madison adds another mile to the trek and is well worth the magnificent views offered from the summit.

Directions

From Dolly Copp Campground:
Drive past the campground entrance (Dolly Copp Road) to the very end. Great Gulf Link Trail begins there
