Trail Information

The Gander Lake Trail is a primitive trail traveling along a slowly rising grade, above Furnish Creek. This trail offers early season access to the Gander Lake Area.

The Gander Lake Trail flattens out near the end at the junction with the Waldo Meadows Trail and Gander Lake. The tread is poor, so you don’t want to be without a good pair of boots. There is water available at Gander Lake.

Directions

From Oakridge:
Go east on Salmon Creek Road 24 about 11 miles to Forest Road 2417. Follow this north for 8.5 miles to Forest Road 2417-253. Follow this for 1 mile to the end and the trailhead.
