Trail Information

The Huckleberry Lake Trail begins right off Forest Road 1931-72, below Huckleberry Mountain and proceeds to the top along a steep ridge. Atop huckleberry stands a fire lookout that is manned in the summertime. The summit affords fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The trail switchbacks steeply and comes out on the northwest side off Huckleberry Lake. The trail then leaves the lake and descends moderately to the end on road 1931-725.

Water is available at Huckleberry Lake. Visitors are welcome at the lookout during fire season (July – September).
