Trail Information

This short interpretive trail is a paved loop with some remarkable views of the lava fields as well as signs explaining some of the unique lava formations in the area. There are vault toilets at Dee Wright Observatory, but no water. This trail is wheelchair accessible. This trail is not accessible during snow season.

Directions

From the McKenzie Ranger Station:
Go 3 miles east on Highway 126 to Highway 242. Follow this to Dee Wright Observatory. The trail begins at the observatory.
