Trail Information

The Grotto Trail is a short trail that connects The Grotto picnic area to Zion Lodge. From The Grotto, the trail heads one half mile to the south. This trail is an easy walk along the canyon floor on a level grade. The Great White Throne and The Spearhead are visible from the northern end of the trail with Lady Mountain and Red Arch Mountain visible along the way south. The Grotto Trail provides access to Kayenta and West Rim Trail from Zion Lodge. A loop hike can be created by joining the Emerald Pool Trail, Kayenta Trail and Grotto Trail.

Directions

From the South Entrance:
Take Highway 9 north to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Board the Zion shuttle and take it to The Grotto approximately five miles north in Zion Canyon.
