Trail Information

The Kolob Arch Trail is a short but moderately difficult trail heading 0.5 miles north from the La Verkin Creek Trail to a viewpoint of Kolob Arch. It is about 7 miles from Lee Pass to the beginning of Kolob Arch Trail. Permits for overnight use of this area are required and can be obtained at the Kolob Canyons Visitor Center.

The trail to Kolob Arch begins at an elevation of 5,525 feet and gains only 150 feet en route to the overlook. The trail follows a small drainage that descends from the northern slopes of Gregory Butte. It ends at a confluence of three drainages at approximately 5,620 feet. Kolob Arch is one of the longest rock spans in the world.
