Trail Information

The trail to Mesa Arch begins from Main Island Road just north of the Grand View Road junction. Mesa Arch is perched right on the edge of a cliff. Mesa Arch is a buff-colored formation in Navajo Sandstone perched at the edge of a sheer 1400 foot cliff.

The Mesa Arch Trail is a short hike only 0.5 miles in Length with an elevation change of about 100 feet. The trail leads to a beautiful arch right on the cliff edge. Sunrise is the best time for photography along this trail.

The Mesa Arch Trail heads east from the trailhead gaining elevation slightly before reaching the arch. From the mesa edge, the trail loops north then turns west leading back to the road.

Directions

From Island in the Sky Visitor Center:
Drive south on Utah 313 approximately 6 miles to the Mesa Arch Trailhead.
