Trail Information

The Moses and Zeus Trail located at the confluence of Trail and Taylor Canyons and is accessed after a long hike on the Alcove Spring Trail. Follow the

Directions

for Alcove Spring Trail heading north from Upheaval Dome Road. The trail descends into Trail Canyon and follows that drainage approximately six miles to the mouth of the canyon. At this point the trail forks with the Moses and Zeus Trail eading east (right).

From the trail junction, cross Taylor Canyon and begin ascending the northern bank of the drainage. The grade is relatively level for the first quarter mile. After this point, the trail begins to ascend steeply toward the base of the two spires. The trail forks forming a short loop circling the base of Moses and Zeus.

Directions

From Island in the Sky Visitor Center:
Drive south on Utah 313 approximately for about 7.25 miles to the junction of Main Island Road and Upheaval Dome Road. Bear right at this junction and drive 5 miles to the parking area for Alcove Spring Trail. Follow the Alcove Spring Trail 6 miles to the mouth of Trail Canyon. The Moses and Zeus Trail heads northeast across Taylor Canyon from this confluence.
