Late spring snow on the Cascades
Trail Information
Formerly known as the Skate Mountain Trail, the Allen Mountain Trail is located near Forest Road 8460. The trail climbs 2.5 miles to the top of Allen Mountain. From the summit, the trail enters the open, sub alpine landscape and follows the ridge to a junction with Greenwood Lake Trail.
After snow begins to fall, it is common to see snowshoers along the Allen Mountain Trail.
