Trail Information

Trapper Creek Trail #192.1 climbs from Forest Road 5401 through an old-growth forest, intersecting with Dry Creek Trail (#194) almost immediately. The trail climbs for about one mile, before the junction with Observation Trail (#132) near the wilderness boundary. At this point it becomes Trapper Creek Trail (#192.2), which is for hikers only.

Directions

From Carson:
Take the Wind River Highway (County Route 30) north to the forest boundary. Continue on Route 30 past Beaver Campground to Forest Road 3065. Follow FR 3065 west for about 0.5 mile to Forest Road 5401. Follow FR 5401 northwest to the trailhead.
