Rockport Texas, a little town with a population of about ten thousand is well known, for birding, sailing, and water sports, as well as for its museums and festivals. It is also nearly famous for its fantastic fishing.

Fishing the bay means bringing home redfish, drums, speckled trout, flounder, and more, while the offshore fishing will net you a Hammerhead Shark, or maybe a tiger or Mako, as well as mackerel, Bluefin, Yellowfin or Tarpon, or something as incredible as a Marlin.

Winter fishinbg here is just as good as summer times and with so many different species, chances are that you’re going to catch somnething no matter what time of day or year it is.

The coves and Piers usually feature lighted cleaning tables, fuel stations and boat ramps, as well as information on a charter.

Rockport Beach Park Piers are Located off Business Hwy 35 in Rockport, just follow the signs to beach. North Pier - go through the entrance booth to beach and down to the north end, wooden, $3.00 per vehicle admission at entrance booth or purchase an annual beach park pass/sticker .
