Trail Information

Marin County is a fantastic place to ride a bicycle. In fact it is nearly a bicyclist’s dream. There is lots of good riding in Marin County and most of it very close to San Francisco. Barely ten miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, the undeveloped coastal areas of Marin offer some very good riding. But traffic tends to be heavy on Highway 1, especially on weekends, so use caution in this section. The little traveled Marshall-Petaluma Road is the highlight of this loop with its rolling approach to the main climb and the fast descent to the coast.
