Trail Information

The Military Sinkhole Trail (#179) is a trail that starts on the Rim near the military road built by General George Crook. You can access the Military Sinkhole Trail from either the Two-Sixty Trailhead or Forest Road 300; 1.9 miles west of Highway 260 (at the scenic vista parking lot).

Directions

From Payson:
Drive east on Arizona Highway 260 past Christofer Creek to the Two-Sixty Trailhead. The trail begins on the north side of the Highway 260.
